Job Title: Seasonal Snow Removal Operator

Currently offering a $1000 signing and retention incentive. To operate snow removal equipment and perform general labor involving snow clean-up on the airfield, parking lots, roads, and around buildings. Major Responsibilities:

Operate walk-behind snow thrower and ice melter equipment. Operate snow plows, snow brooms, snow blower, dump trucks and front loaders. Use hand tools to clear snow and ice from around signs and hydrants. Provide aid and guidance to the public. Observe all safety rules and report any job related problems, accidents and/or injuries. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED. Two years' experience operating heavy equipment required. Valid state driver license, with CDL Class B or higher and an excellent driving record. Knowledge/Skills: Must have poise and the ability to establish effective working relationships with coworkers and the public. Must be able to operate job-related equipment and capable of being trained to operate specialized equipment. Physical Requirements: Requires the ability to lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 50 pounds. Job functions require sitting for extended periods; standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and bending frequently; and kneeling, lifting, carrying, and climbing occasionally. Must be able to traverse rough terrain, climb ladders, and crawl through small spaces. Extensive wrist and hand movements required for use of tools and equipment. Requires distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to continuously exchange information through listening and talking with supervisors, coworkers, and other individuals required. WORKING CONTACTS WITH OTHERS (INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL): Contact with co-workers, tenants, and the general public. WORKING CONDITIONS, TRAVEL, ENVIRONMENT AND POTENTIAL HAZARDS: Travel in and around airport. Exposure to heavy equipment noise, vibration, other hazards in the mechanical shop and on the airfield including exposure to petroleum products, fumes, airborne particles, and other chemicals. Also exposed to extreme weather conditions including snow, ice, cold, and rain. Hearing protection and safety glasses provided and required for some tasks. EQUIPMENT OPERATION REQUIRED: Airport vehicles, mechanic tools, snow removal equipment.
