Department: OPS | NUTRI Patient Food Call Center Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Room Service Ambassador is responsible for assisting patients with menu selections, ensuring they receive meals and nourishments according to physician-prescribed diets, food allergies, and preferences. The role emphasizes providing excellent customer service to meet departmental goals. Qualifications: Minimum: High School diploma/GED plus computer skills. Basic keyboard skills and telephone etiquette skills. Preferred: Experience in food service, customer service, or patient care setting. Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service during menu selections. Take food orders over the phone. Enter meal selections into the electronic system, update and record patient information. Adjust menu choices based on meal patterns, allergies, and preferences. Troubleshoot issues affecting patient satisfaction with food service. May perform other duties as assigned. Additional Information: Physical activity requirements include occasionally standing, sitting, walking, bending, crawling, crouching, kneeling, stooping, reaching overhead, lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs, pushing and pulling up to 10 lbs, using hands to handle or feel occasionally, talking and hearing continuously, and reading, concentrating, thinking analytically continuously. Visual requirements include color discrimination, depth perception, far and near visual acuity. The environment is inside a medical facility with moderate noise levels. No hazards are identified.
