Job Summary
Work with the university curator to inventory and catalog the acquisition of over 1000 art prints. Opportunities to assist with monitoring the University Gallery are possible, depending on the student's interests and the department's needs.
Essential Duties Will work closely with the University Curator to learn to use museum cataloging software (PastPerfect) in order to complete the standard museum cataloging process for print acquisition. The Curatorial assistant will utilize best practices for handling art as well as learn about the collection and printmaking in general. Required Qualifications
MWSU Student Degree Seeking At least an overall 2.0 GPA Enrolled at least part-time Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Interested in the museum field Background in art history Detail-oriented Dependable Responsible
Physical Demands Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
