Art Director, Performance Brands
Carlsbad, CA
Join the band as our next Art Director and set the stage for legendary flagship campaigns with global reach. As a member of the internal Creative Services team, you will collaborate directly with brand, regional and channel marketing teams, as well as executive leaders, to bring your creative vision to life across our performance audio brands including Polk, Denon, and Definitive Technology.

You'll drive art direction, lead campaign ideation, and partner with copywriters, designers, and photo/video teams while also rolling up your sleeves to execute global content across our portfolio of audio brands.
Our Creative Services team is a close-knit, supportive and passionate group of people who are accountable to each other to deliver work that is on brief and on time. To accomplish this, you will work closely with our project management and brand marketing teams.
Essential Responsibilities: Lead art direction for integrated campaigns, product launches, and brand activations. Collaborate with the Marketing PM team, Creative Services, and Brand/Channel Marketing leaders to develop assets for key retail and web/DTC accounts. Create and oversee the design of marketing assets such as toolkits, digital ads, consumer audio selling assets, and promotional materials. Partner with copywriters, designers, and marketing stakeholders to deliver cohesive creative solutions. Provide clear visual direction and constructive feedback to designers and production artists. Partner with external agencies and freelancers as needed to scale creative output. Own our visual brand standards across the portfolio to ensure brand consistency. Collaborate closely with Executive Creative Director for feedback and direction on campaigns and storytelling. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of professional design/creative experience, including 3-5 years in an art director or senior design leadership role, ideally in consumer electronics or lifestyle brands. Experience with creative briefing and execution for multiple brands simultaneously. Understanding of global marketing needs, including regionalization and localization of assets. Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) design tools. Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines and quality. Strong grasp of brand storytelling, positioning, and translating business strategy into creative. Comfortable presenting creative concepts to executives, cross-functional stakeholders, and partner. Preferred Qualifications:
Personal or professional experience with audio products and technologies, providing the ability to translate product features and technical specifications into compelling, consumer-facing creative concepts and visual assets. Familiarity with motion graphics, video editing, or 3D rendering. Hands-on experience using Workfront or similar creative tracking software for project assignments, collaboration, and proof approvals.
Salary Range:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $98,500-$130,000 range plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 3.5% PSP bonus based on company, department, and individual performance.
