About The Position
Wellhart is seeking an experienced Physician specializing in Urgent Care for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Texas. The assignment begins on 12/01/2025, with a work schedule of Monday to Saturday 8 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday 8 AM to 5 PM. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a typical urgent care setting, capable of performing various procedures including laceration closure, incision and drainage, X-ray and EKG interpretation. Workers' compensation experience and DOT certification are considered advantageous. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled physician to provide comprehensive urgent care services in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive urgent care services to patients of all ages
• Perform laceration closures and incision and drainage procedures
• Interpret X-rays and EKGs
• Manage workers' compensation cases (experience preferred)
• Conduct DOT examinations (certification preferred)
• Utilize Practice Velocity electronic health record system
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Adhere to all clinical protocols and safety standards

• Must be licensed to practice in the state of Texas
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced urgent care environment
