About The Position
An Urgent Care facility in Colorado is seeking a skilled Urgent Care Physician for a locum tenens assignment starting September 1, 2025, for 36 days. The schedule varies by day of the week, offering extended hours to meet patient needs.

Schedule:
- Monday - Friday: 8 AM - 8 PM
- Saturday: 8 AM - 7 PM
- Sunday: 8 AM - 5 PM
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide comprehensive urgent care services
- Perform laceration closures and incision and drainage (I&D) procedures
- Interpret X-rays and EKGs
- Manage work-related injuries and illnesses
- Conduct DOT physicals (certification a plus)
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
- Utilize Practice Velocity EMR for patient management and record-keeping
- Collaborate with urgent care staff and refer to specialists when necessary
- Ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
- Communicate effectively with patients about diagnoses and treatment plans
Additional Information:
- Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine required
- Comfort with minor procedures such as laceration repair and I&D essential
- Ability to read and interpret X-rays and EKGs independently
- Workers' compensation experience preferred
- DOT certification beneficial
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to manage diverse patient presentations
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends
