The Packaging Manager leads and oversees all softgel bottling operations, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements. This role manages supervisors and bottling teams, drives continuous improvement, supports new product launches, and partners with Supply Chain, QA, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality finished products.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee daily Bottling operations across
two shifts , ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to cGMP requirements. Supervise and mentor supervisors and teams; oversee workforce planning and performance. Develop and finalize packaging specifications, components, pricing, and release timelines for new and existing products. Collaborate with QA, R&D, and Supply Chain to qualify subcontractors and suppliers. Establish packaging SOPs, work instructions, and training programs; ensure team adherence. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and adopt packaging innovations. Oversee supplier audits, quality standards, and vendor relationships to ensure compliance and reliability. Develop and execute packaging test methods, validations, and protocols for new and existing products. Ensure packaging operations meet customer timelines and regulatory requirements. Monitor KPIs, analyze performance, and implement corrective actions to achieve operational goals. Partner cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and support business objectives. Flexible hours as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of packaging experience in pharmaceutical/CPG manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role. Strong knowledge of cGMP, packaging processes, validations, and supply chain planning. Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and manage teams. Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills. ERP system experience required; knowledge of continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) preferred Experience in the pharmaceutical or nutritional supplement industry is a plus.
