Our client, a prominent leader in the animal health industry, is looking to add a Warehouse Manager to their growing team.

The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations, including receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role ensures products are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Warehouse Manager leads a team of warehouse associates, fosters a safe and productive work environment, and collaborates with other departments to support the company's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership, Team Development & Staffing Recruit, train, and retain qualified warehouse staff while fostering a positive work culture. Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members. Achieve department goal through collaboration with team members and warehouse staff. Create staffing plans, including backup coverage, to maintain operational continuity Promote a collaborative environment that supports other departments such as Customer Service and Inventory.
Operations Oversight & Workflow Management Oversee receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes to meet productivity and accuracy goals. Allocate labor and resources to balance workloads and meet deadlines. Ensure proper handling of cold chain products and controlled substances. Monitor and maintain operational metrics, making adjustments as needed to improve efficiency. Assist in root cause analysis for inventory issues and implement corrective actions.
Safety, Compliance & Quality Control Enforce company safety standards to reduce workplace accidents and risks. Assist in root cause analysis for inventory issues and implement corrective actions. Maintain compliance with NABP, FDA, and state requirements through audits and SOP adherence. Conduct regular quality checks on receiving and shipping accuracy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with departments such as Purchasing, Customer Service, and Logistics to resolve issues. Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and develop improvement plans. Participate in cross-departmental meetings to discuss general challenges and process improvements. Work closely with warehouse leadership to enhance overall warehouse efficiency and workflow.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required; coursework in supply chain management or logistics preferred. 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Previous supervisory or management experience is a plus. Technical Proficiency Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift and move products in compliance with safety guidelines. Willingness to work extended hours when necessary to meet operational demands.
