Overview
Verizon Retail Sales Associate position. This role is a full-time opportunity in one of Verizon’s retail stores, focused on sales success, customer service, and growth within the Verizon network.
What you’ll be doing
- Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
- Learn and uncover customers' needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
- Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution.
- Close sales by using effective communication to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
- Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skill in operational functions across merchandising and inventory.
- Potential to grow your customer base by placing outbound calls and sending text messages to current Verizon customers who are interested in our products and services.
- Engage with the community outside of the store to expand your loyal customer base, including at off-site Verizon-sponsored events.
Compensation and benefits
We’re hiring immediately. Base pay typically ranges from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, with potential to earn up to $16,000 per year in individual-based commissions if sales goals are met. Top performers may earn additional commissions, with total annual compensation potentially reaching $65,000+ to $73,500+. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

What we’re looking for
You’ll need to have:
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of relevant experience (work experience and/or military)
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule known four weeks in advance)
- Openness to pick up additional shifts, especially during peak times (summer, November–December, and peak vacation periods)
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience in a commission-based environment
- Demonstrated sales experience in solving customer needs
- Customer service experience
