Responsibilities

  • Assist with administration of benefit plans and processes, including day-to-day issues, annual open enrollment, retirement planning, leave of absence administration, workers’ compensation, UI claims, and COBRA.
  • Provide front line customer service to employees at all levels; answer inquiries and direct issues to upper management as appropriate.
  • Maintain necessary documentation regarding student, volunteer, and/or contracted personnel and training, as required per PACE regulations.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and conduct audits to ensure documents are up to date in accordance with PACE regulations.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of compliance-related HR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director on HR-related projects such as team training, employee handbook, position descriptions, and competency revisions.
  • Prepare data for EEO reporting/plan requirements and ACA reporting annually.
  • With Sr. Staff Accountant, assist with processing bi-weekly payroll, including new employee setup, PTO, expense reports, and benefits; serve as back-up as needed.
  • Serve as a resource and back-up to the HR Specialist in recruitment and onboarding procedures.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes to track and manage devices, uniforms, access rights, etc.
  • Chair the Safety Committee and coordinate staff events and engagement opportunities with the HR Director and Employee Engagement Committee.
  • Perform OIG Exclusion/Preclusion checks monthly.
  • Provide HR compliance support by conducting internal reviews and audits and delivering reports to the HR Director in a timely manner.
  • Support HR Director to conduct employee engagement surveys.
  • Other activities and projects as requested by management.

  • Adhere to and support center policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Flexible in schedule of hours worked.

Education And Certification

  • Associates degree in Human Resources or Business Administration; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Original valid driver's license with proof of auto insurance.

Skills And Experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years of HR Generalist or HRBP experience, preferably with a not-for-profit and/or healthcare organization.
  • PHR and/or SCP certification desired.
  • Proven ability in administering HR policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated skills and working knowledge of health plans and benefits administration.
  • Proficient in use of HRIS system and MS Office. Previous I-Solved experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of California labor laws.
  • Experience processing payroll a plus.
  • Professional written and oral communications.
  • Positive interaction with all employee levels.

Medical Clearance

Employees must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
