About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Human Resource Generalist to join our client's team. This role is responsible for supporting and implementing HR initiatives that align with company-wide strategic goals. The HR Generalist will oversee multiple HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, training, performance management, policy implementation, compliance, recruitment, onboarding, and safety programs.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $90,000
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Manage employee engagement, safety initiatives, and company goals.
- Administer benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and workers’ compensation.
- Implement and maintain compensation programs; assist managers with job descriptions and salary surveys.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Partner with managers and employees to communicate HR policies and provide guidance.
- Lead recruitment efforts for exempt, non-exempt, and temporary employees.
- Oversee onboarding, orientations, and career pathing programs.
- Process payroll and review employee timecards.
- Participate in management, executive, and companywide meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of related HR experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or HR certification strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Professional office setting with moderate noise levels.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
