About the Role

The Buyer / Delivery Driver plays a critical dual role within our company, ensuring that products are picked up in a timely manner while being able to receive the goods correctly into our computer system. This position requires managing supplier relationships, negotiating purchase prices, and maintaining accurate records to support production schedules. Additionally, the role involves safely operating delivery vehicles to transport goods to and from various locations, ensuring products arrive in excellent condition and on time. The successful candidate will contribute to operational efficiency by coordinating purchasing activities with delivery logistics, thereby supporting overall supply chain effectiveness. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent organizational skills to balance buying responsibilities with delivery commitments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience with basic Microsoft Suite
• Ability to operate delivery vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes.
• NO CDL required. Company vehicle is a standard car.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with route planning and logistics coordination.
• Familiarity with procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Previous experience in both buying and delivery roles.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase raw materials and supplies needed for manufacturing processes, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate purchase records and track inventory levels to prevent production delays.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and timely deliveries.
• Plan and execute delivery routes to transport finished goods to customers or distribution centers safely and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to coordinate purchasing and delivery schedules.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to maintain a clean driving record.
