Maintenance Technician
for a
Contract
job with a client in
Normal, IL (Onsite).
Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the
hands-on equipment maintenance/repair technician role
that requires technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems, with a focus on lab/test devices and safety compliance.

Rate Range: $22/hour to $28/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on lab test equipment. This includes but is not limited to: observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools. Identify and source parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. Independently perform maintenance as per industry standards Understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs. Utilize standard hand tools as well as simple diagnostic tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, etc. Ability to work in tight spaces. Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards. Follow all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions. Experience in a test environment is a plus. Experience working around lithium ion batteries is a plus.
