Briarlake Partners is a strategic sourcing focused recruiting firm. We are working with a Bay Area client looking for a Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager to focus on IT and/or professional services spend. This role is focused on traditional IT areas, including software, hardware, professional services, and other related IT services, including outsourced arrangements. Our client has an office in Oakland and San Ramon and requires being in the office three days a week.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
8 years of strategic sourcing experience with a significant focus on hardware, software, and/or professional services categories Experience managing category spend over $100MM annually Building category strategies Contract negotiation and contract management Comfort and rigorous process in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling Broad knowledge of risk management practices and principles Sound fiscal knowledge base in order to develop clear, concise measurements for agreements that are tied to strategic goals and demonstrate value to the enterprise Strong relationship building/relationship management skills Ability to effectively lead cross functional teams Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, etc... BA/BS in IT, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related; MBA or equivalent preferred
