Trade Compliance Specialist
to support international trade operations and ensure compliance with global import/export regulations. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, working knowledge of trade laws, and experience managing customs-related processes.
Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including U.S. Customs, EAR, ITAR, and other applicable laws. Conduct and manage
HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classifications
for imported and exported goods. Lead and facilitate
customs compliance meetings
, ensuring cross-functional alignment and timely issue resolution. Prepare and submit
Post Entry Amendments (PEAs)
and other customs documentation as needed. Maintain and update trade compliance records and databases. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve trade-related issues and ensure timely customs clearance. Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations. Support internal audits and assist in implementing corrective actions. Utilize
intermediate Excel skills
for data analysis, reporting, and tracking compliance metrics. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. 2–4 years of experience in
trade compliance
, customs operations, or international logistics. Strong understanding of
HTS classification
, PEA processes, and U.S. import/export regulations. Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
(pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation). Experience with ERP systems;
SAP
knowledge is a plus. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
