Overview
Mobile Dental Assistant
Lumina Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Mobile Dental Assistant to work in the Glendale, AZ area. Qualified candidates will travel by company van to multiple facilities within a designated territory. We are currently seeking a Mobile Dental Assistant to join our progressive mobile dental practice.
Hiring Immediately! $500 Retention Bonus! (Payable after 90 days in good standing).
Responsibilities
- Prepare clinical cart and supplies for the day’s schedule.
- Drive the company vehicle to various health care facilities.
- Assist the doctor with setting up for treatment and clean up after treatment.
- Carry equipment in and out of facilities and set up as required.
- At the end of the day, clean and sterilize instruments and restock the cart as needed.
- Round daily at multiple facilities and maintain cleanliness and organization of mobile carts and units.
- Check in with Social Services, provide check-in and check-out forms, and maintain patient records with confidentiality.
- Verify patient identification prior to treatment and assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Explain post-treatment oral care, provide oral hygiene instructions, and communicate with facility staff as needed.
- Order and load supplies and equipment as needed; ensure all equipment, instruments, and supplies are accounted for before exiting facilities.
- Maintain and operate the company vehicle in a clean and safe manner according to company policies.
- Participate in all training requirements and perform duties only within the scope of licensure as a Dental Assistant.
Qualifications
- Dental Certificate and X-ray Certification required.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (California or Arizona as applicable).
- One year of experience as a dental assistant or equivalent preferred, but willing to train.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, sterilization, and infection control.
- Familiarity with basic computer usage for online training, patient record access, and email.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds of dental equipment.
Skills / Experience / Licensure Requirements
- One year of experience as a dental assistant or equivalent preferred, but willing to train.
- Dental Certificate and X-ray Certification required.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, including sterilization and infection control.
- Driving of company vehicle required; must have Arizona or California Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record.
- Familiar with basic computer usage required for online training, patient record access and email.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds of dental equipment to carry into and out of facilities and corporate office.
Physical / Mental Demands and Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
- Frequent bending and reaching.
- Frequent driving / travel in a company van.
- Requires visual and hearing acuity.
- Gross motor skills; able to lift and carry 75 pounds due to moving equipment carts.
