Compensation:
$125,000 - $150,000 / year
Description The VP of Sales will play a key role in expanding the reach of our policy and legal research of CFRA business Washington Analysis. This individual will be responsible for driving business growth, promoting our research offerings, and serving as a strategic link between our analysts and the investment community.
Key Responsibilities
With support from a Business Development Rep (BDR) develop relationships with prospects (largely hedge funds, mutual funds, alternative asset managers, and other institutional firms) to continually build pipeline
Promote and sell policy and legal research products, analyst access, and custom research engagements
Achieve new sales quota
Collaborate with research analysts to understand and communicate key policy and legal themes and actionable investment thesis
Identify and communicate client focus and needs to support alignment of research offerings with investment strategies
Maintain data in Salesforce to ensure transparency and accurate forecasting and reporting
Organize client meetings, webinars, and analyst roadshows
Stay abreast of political and regulatory developments relevant to financial markets
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor's degree in political science, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field
5+ years of experience in institutional sales- holding direct quota
Strong preference for candidates with a track record of selling research to institutional investors
Understanding of U.S. policy and legal environment and impacts on public and private markets
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to translate complex policy issues into investment-relevant insights
Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and team-oriented
