Scheduling Coordinator – Full Time, Days

$20.00-28.00 Based on Experience

Join our dedicated team at Brothers of Mercy, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our Nursing Administration. As a Scheduling Coordinator, you’ll ensure our nursing units are staffed appropriately, while providing essential clerical support and working closely with nursing personnel across all shifts.

What You’ll Do:

Create and manage nursing staff schedules, including processing time-off requests

Log and monitor absenteeism/tardiness and prepare disciplinary action forms as needed

Prepare accurate staffing sheets for each shift in advance

Verify and allocate nursing employee payroll

Check in staff each shift and reassign as necessary to ensure coverage

Maintain accurate employee transactions including schedule updates, kardex, and attendance sheets

Ensure proper staffing coverage across all nursing units, including monitoring weekend absences and initiating makeup requirements

Process new hire paperwork with Human Resources and meet with new employees to review staffing guidelines and schedules

Meet with all new nursing employees, review general staffing guidelines and provide new hires schedule.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

Prior scheduling, staffing, or clerical experience (healthcare environment strongly preferred)

Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with nursing staff and leadership

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and scheduling/payroll systems

Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
