Accountant Job at Addison Group in Nashville

Overview

Addison Group has partnered with a Record Label based in Nashville, TN looking to add an Accountant to their team. This is a newly created entry level position that will be supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and managing the preparation of financial reports. This role involves preparing general ledger activities and preparing balance sheet reconciliations to support our month-end and year-end close processes.

Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Complete month-end close tasks as assigned including preparation of journal entries, analysis, and accruals
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations to support audits and close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports
• Provide accounting support to multiple labels, publishing, and management companies under the family of companies
• Provide necessary documentation/support and leverage accounting knowledge to support external and internal audits
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1-2 years of professional work experience in accounting and/or finance
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Prior exposure to month-end close processes, journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
