Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary HR contact for employees, providing guidance and support on policies, procedures, and employee-related matters.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management support.
  • Oversee compliance with federal and state regulations, including EEOC, FMLA, and leave of absence administration.
  • Support talent acquisition activities, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance for I-9s and other employment-related requirements.
  • Assist in developing and implementing culture and engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
  • Partner with leadership on HR projects and change management initiatives, ensuring timely execution and communication.
  • Participate in HR programs related to benefits, open enrollment, and policy administration.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support reporting as needed.
  • Provide input into process improvements and support the overall HR strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Experience handling employee relations and performance management required.
  • Working knowledge of HR compliance regulations (EEOC, FMLA, I-9, etc.).
  • Familiarity with talent acquisition and onboarding processes; ability to learn recruiting if limited experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in small to mid-sized organizations preferred.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
