Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary HR contact for employees, providing guidance and support on policies, procedures, and employee-related matters.
- Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management support.
- Oversee compliance with federal and state regulations, including EEOC, FMLA, and leave of absence administration.
- Support talent acquisition activities, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance for I-9s and other employment-related requirements.
- Assist in developing and implementing culture and engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
- Partner with leadership on HR projects and change management initiatives, ensuring timely execution and communication.
- Participate in HR programs related to benefits, open enrollment, and policy administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support reporting as needed.
- Provide input into process improvements and support the overall HR strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Experience handling employee relations and performance management required.
- Working knowledge of HR compliance regulations (EEOC, FMLA, I-9, etc.).
- Familiarity with talent acquisition and onboarding processes; ability to learn recruiting if limited experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in small to mid-sized organizations preferred.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
