Overview:
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and proper material handling across the organization. This role partners with multiple departments to maintain reliable stock levels, support customer demand, and improve inventory processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Track and maintain inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials, parts, and consumables. Perform routine cycle counts and audits to verify stock accuracy across facilities. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Conduct quality checks on stored materials to confirm compliance with company standards. Prepare and distribute regular inventory reports and documentation for leadership review. Recommend improvements in warehouse layout, pallet usage, and racking systems to optimize space. Support new site launches and system implementations related to inventory processes. Monitor overstock situations and remove obsolete materials to increase efficiency. Enter new product information, pricing updates, and adjustments into ERP systems. Ensure all inbound shipments are received, recorded, and stored in accordance with company procedures. Maintain and update written procedures for all inventory control functions.
Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up abilities. Skilled in data analysis and problem-solving. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data formatting. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines. Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments. Customer-focused mindset with a strong work ethic.
Qualifications: High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred. 2+ years of hands-on inventory control experience. Knowledge of inventory tracking methods and best practices. Experience working with ERP systems. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
