Pastry Sous Chef

supports the Executive Pastry Chef in leading our pastry department, ensuring high-quality production, recipe development, and staff supervision. This is a hands-on role blending leadership with production responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. Responsibilities

Oversee daily pastry production and quality control

Scale, prepare, and produce recipes to exact standards

Train, mentor, and supervise pastry staff

Develop new recipes and contribute to seasonal menus

Manage inventory, purchasing needs, and scheduling

Ensure sanitation, safety, and compliance standards

Support off-site catering events and peak business periods

Qualifications

2+ years of progressive pastry or baking experience (catering, hotel, or fine dining preferred)

Leadership skills with ability to train and motivate staff

Strong organizational and communication skills

Hands-on, collaborative approach to kitchen management

Working knowledge of Spanish preferred

Flexible availability: mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays
