Job Title: Nurse Recruiter Location: Chicago, IL Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Healthcare – Hospital Search Firm: GritHR (Confidential Client) About the Opportunity: GritHR is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a respected hospital client located in Chicago, IL, seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Recruiter. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare recruitment professional who thrives in fast-paced clinical environments and is passionate about connecting top nursing talent with meaningful, mission-driven roles. The Nurse Recruiter will play a critical role in supporting the hospital’s nursing operations by leading full-cycle recruitment for a variety of clinical roles. This position is ideal for someone who understands the nuances of hospital staffing and can build effective relationships with both candidates and clinical leadership. Key Responsibilities: Lead full-cycle recruitment for nursing positions, including RNs, LPNs, NPs, and specialty roles across multiple hospital departments. Partner with nurse managers and clinical leaders to understand staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies. Source candidates through job boards, nursing associations, academic partnerships, networking, and career fairs. Conduct screening interviews and coordinate subsequent interview stages with clinical teams. Ensure smooth and professional candidate experience from application to onboarding. Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS). Support compliance with hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and relevant employment laws. Represent the hospital at local job fairs and nursing recruitment events as needed. Monitor hiring metrics and regularly report progress to HR leadership. Collaborate with HR to ensure an efficient and seamless onboarding process. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience recruiting nurses within a hospital or healthcare environment. Familiarity with nursing licensure, credentialing processes, and healthcare hiring regulations. Strong relationship-building and communication skills with both candidates and hiring teams. Experience working with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.
