How You'll Contribute Responsible for performing and/or overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts
receivable/collections,
inventory, payroll, and general ledger. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; maintain compliance with GAAP. Monitor cash flow, manage credit lines, and optimize working capital. Prepare sales/use tax returns for multiple states; maintain accurate rate information. Manage quarterly bank reporting. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Supervise and mentor accounting staff (4), serve as resource for daily accounting questions. Oversee 401k administration, workers' compensation audits, insurance, and other compliance requirements. Manage rebate programs, commissions program, and special financial projects.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field; CPA preferred. 8+ years of progressive hands-on experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar role. Distribution or equipment industry experience is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, compliance, and internal controls. Proficiency with
QuickBooks Enterprise
and Microsoft Excel required. Ability to supervise and lead a team. Ability to balance daily operations and strategic planning.

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including internal equity, market data, the candidate's qualifications- including but not limited to specialty skills, prior relevant industry experience, relevant degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, JD). The salary range estimate below is inclusive of all departments within the company and offered salaries may vary within the given range between departments. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this level is
$150,000 to $160,000
not including other competitive benefits.
