Location This position is located in the vicinity of the assigned shifts.
Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule The shift is from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, consisting of four 10-hour shifts. Lunch breaks will be deducted. There is a STEMI on-call requirement during weekdays and rotational weekends (1 to 2 weekends per month).
Job Description The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will prepare and assist during cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (STEMI), peripheral vascular procedures, pacemaker placements, and interventional radiology procedures. The role involves monitoring and documenting hemodynamic data and providing procedural assistance to physicians throughout the various stages of the procedures. Additionally, the technologist will assess and manage access sites and inform physicians as necessary.
Responsibilities
Prepare and prep for cardiac catheterizations, PCI (STEMI), and various interventional procedures.
Monitor, document, and calculate hemodynamic data accurately.
Provide procedural assistance to physicians during pre, intra, and post-procedure stages.
Assess and manage access sites while communicating effectively with physicians.
Adhere to the on-call protocol for the catheterization lab.
Prepare patients appropriately for procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
RCIS certification preferred.
BLS, ACLS, and IABP experience required.
Cardiac catheterization lab experience is essential.
