Overview: A mission-driven non-profit in the mortgage lending and homeowner assistance sector is seeking a Loan Processor / Loan Administrator to support its growing lending team. This role will assist with loan processing from intake through post-closing, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance across multiple homeowner support programs.
Responsibilities: Review and process borrower financial documents (bank statements, pay stubs, etc.). Provide administrative support across 8 loan programs, including forgivable mortgages, affordable housing, home improvement, and purchase money loans. Prepare and package loan files, reconcile with accounting, and track funder requirements. Serve as a borrower-facing resource with strong communication and organizational skills. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage overflow from origination through post-closing. Qualifications:
Prior experience in loan or mortgage administration/processing (not underwriting). Strong document management skills and attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
