Robbinsdale, MN Compensation:
$25.00-31.00 per hour Schedule:
40 hours per week | Start between 7:30-9:00am, Every Saturday & Sunday/Some Evening Coverage |
Weekend Shifts Required
What you’ll do as the Patient Financial Advocate: Conduct thorough financial screenings of patients and provide clear education on insurance benefits, coverage levels, and billing processes Secure insurance authorizations, payment arrangements, and collect co-payments or coinsurance prior to discharge or outpatient services Identify potential payment sources, including financial assistance programs and government aid, and guide patients through application processes Provide accurate cost estimates and ensure accounts are cleared for billing in a timely manner Serve as a trusted resource for patients and families, using tact and empathy to navigate financial concerns
What you’ll bring to the Patient Financial Advocate role: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred 1–2 years of experience in patient financial advocacy, registration, or accounting Strong background in customer service with experience supporting patients in financial processes Proficiency with Epic systems and familiarity with insurance carrier communications for service authorizations Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally Advanced knowledge of insurance and government assistance programs Bilingual skills in Spanish or Hmong preferred As an equal opportunity employer, Dahl Consulting welcomes candidates of all backgrounds and experiences to apply.
