COMPANY OVERVIEW We are a privately held real estate development and investment company with a proven track record in sourcing, developing, and managing institutional-quality projects across industrial, self-storage, and mixed-use sectors. Our portfolio spans value-add acquisitions, ground-up developments, and long-term investment holdings. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and oversee all financial, accounting, and capital markets functions. POSITION OVERVIEW The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the company, managing institutional and high net worth relationships, and ensuring disciplined execution across development, acquisitions & dispositions as well as asset management. This executive will partner closely with the CEO, CIO, MD of Asset Management and Development Team to drive growth, enhance returns, and maintain best-in-class reporting and controls. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement the company's financial strategy to support growth in development and investment activities. Advise CEO/CIO and executive team on capital structuring, risk management, and long-term financial planning. Oversee corporate and project-level budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Establish line of credit for acquisitions deposits and working capital needs Capital Markets & Investor Relations Lead all debt and equity financing efforts, including structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions. Manage relationships with lenders, capital markets brokers, institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices. Support fundraising initiatives (fund structures, Co-GP capital, joint ventures) and investor reporting. Accounting, Tax & Compliance Direct all accounting, audit, and tax functions (corporate and project level). Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent reporting both internally and externally in accordance with GAAP. Oversee treasury, cash controls, and compliance with financial covenants. Operational Work with CIO on acquisitions/dispositions – point of contact with escrow companies Responsible for entity formations, Tax ID's, IRR calculations, capital calls and distributions. Manage the Company's insurance platform in concert with capital partners Ensure the Company maintains a best-in-class IT infrastructure Oversee all human resource functions Operational Excellence Implement systems, processes, and controls to support scalability and operational efficiency. Lead and develop a high-performing accounting/finance team. Partner with development, acquisitions, and asset management teams to evaluate deal structures, pro formas, and return metrics. QUALIFICATIONS 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role. Strong background in real estate development and investment (industrial, multifamily, or related asset classes preferred). Deep knowledge of capital markets, deal structuring, and investor relations. CPA and/or MBA preferred; Big 4/public accounting experience a plus. Hands-on, entrepreneurial leader comfortable in a lean, fast-paced private company environment.
