We are hiring an experienced
in-office Trades Recruiter
who will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and placing skilled professionals in electrical, HVAC, and plumbing roles across our business network in the Fountain Comfort Group Brand. You'll specialize in understanding the unique needs of trades professionals and matching them with opportunities that advance their careers and support our clients' growth.
Location: Mission, KS (In-Office) Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 annual base salary + bonus incentives
What you'll do: Master the trades landscape
- Become an expert in electrical, HVAC, and plumbing roles, certifications, career paths, and compensation trends to effectively represent our opportunities Build your skilled trades network
- Develop relationships with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, union halls, and skilled professionals across electrical, HVAC, and plumbing specialties Source hard-to-find talent
- Utilize specialized job boards, industry networks, and creative sourcing techniques to find journeymen, technicians, installers, and apprentices Conduct technical screening
- Evaluate candidates' certifications, licenses, experience levels, and technical competencies specific to trades requirements Coordinate field interviews
- Schedule interviews with hiring managers, field supervisors, and business owners, understanding the hands-on nature of trades work Navigate licensing requirements
- Stay current on state licensing requirements, certifications, and continuing education needs for trades professionals Manage multiple markets
- Support recruitment efforts across various geographic locations and different trades specialties simultaneously Partner with trade businesses
- Work closely with electrical contractors, HVAC companies, and plumbing businesses to understand their unique staffing challenges and culture
What you'll bring: Trades industry experience
- Previous recruitment experience in construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or related skilled trades industries strongly preferred Technical understanding
- Knowledge of trade certifications, licensing requirements, apprenticeship programs, and career progression in skilled trades Relationship building
- Proven ability to connect with blue-collar professionals, field supervisors, and trade business owners High-volume recruitment
- Experience managing fast-paced recruitment in industries with urgent staffing needs and project-driven timelines Multi-location coordination
- Strong organizational skills to manage recruitment across multiple geographic markets and business locations Industry networks
- Existing relationships with trade schools, unions, or skilled trades communities is a plus Proficiency in ATS
and trades-specific job boards (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, trade-specific platforms)
