Position Summary
Industry leading organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Vice President of Operations (COO)
to oversee and lead our operational team at our Apex, NC location. The VP of Operations will lead project management teams, direct field operations, and work collaboratively with other senior leaders to drive the overall success of the business. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and direction to all project managers and project coordinators. Assign project managers to new and ongoing commercial projects, ensuring proper staffing and oversight. Lead and facilitate weekly operations meetings to review project progress, address challenges, and align team efforts. Conduct regular site inspections focused on safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Resolve escalated customer issues that cannot be addressed by project teams or other associates. Foster and maintain strong relationships with key customers and collaborate with marketing and business development teams as needed. Work directly with the CEO regarding project developments, challenges, and achievements. Promote and embody a culture of teamwork, communication, and employee recognition across the organization. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management within the commercial roofing or construction industry. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams. Strong knowledge of roofing systems, project management best practices, and safety standards. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Experience managing customer relationships and handling escalated concerns. Demonstrated ability to drive results while maintaining a positive, team-oriented culture.
