This facility is a well-established medical center providing comprehensive women's health services to the Tacoma community. As a Level 2 trauma center, the facility offers advanced obstetric and gynecological care with a focus on both routine and high-risk pregnancies in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Opportunity:
Board Eligible/Board Certified - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Coverage options include 12-hour shifts (8:00am - 8:00pm) or 24-hour shifts (8:00am - 8:00am)
• Manage 8-15 patient encounters per shift
• Responsibilities include labor and delivery coverage, monitoring and supervising patients on the list, laboring patients, and admissions
• Handle both low and high-risk pregnancies
• Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Conduct OB ultrasounds (Level I and Level II) with interpretation capabilities
• Manage routine deliveries including vaginal and low forceps
• Handle complicated deliveries including C-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• Manage VBACs and decision-making for C-sections
• Perform repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office/minor gynecology services including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Conduct surgical gynecology procedures both open and laparoscopic
• Perform advanced procedures including ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
• Amniocentesis and laser certification preferred
• Must have active Washington state medical license (IMLC not accepted)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Credentialing timeframe 90-120 days (expedited privileges possible with clean history)
