Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Conducting detailed budget analyses and forecasts, identifying trends and making recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Assisting with internal and external auditing procedures.
- Reviewing and recommending improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
- Participating in financial projects and collaborating with the finance team to improve financial processes and reporting.
- Providing financial information and advice to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
The successful candidate for the Senior Accountant position will have
- A Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
- Extensive experience with budget preparation and analysis, and income statement preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
