At Copain, we bring together the comfort of a neighborhood café with the craft of a true boulangerie, now expanding into full-service dining at our new Ballantyne location. By day, guests will find hand-crafted pastries, naturally leavened breads, and artisan coffee, while in the evening the restaurant transforms into a polished dinner experience. Our approach to food is ingredient driven, seasonal, and rooted in honest cooking, designed to highlight quality and care in every dish. We are hiring an experienced Lead Host to join our opening team at Copain Ballantyne. In this role you will oversee the flow of the dining room, greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and ensure our host team delivers a polished and welcoming first impression. This is an opportunity to help launch a new location and bring Noble Food & Pursuits’ hospitality and craftsmanship to a growing community. What You’ll Do
Welcome and greet guests warmly, setting the tone for their dining experience Manage reservations and waitlists through the reservation system, giving accurate wait times during peak periods Coordinate guest seating with the service and management teams to maintain smooth flow of service Communicate special requests, accessibility needs, or large party details to the team Maintain a polished and organized host stand, entrance, and waiting areas Answer phones professionally, assisting with inquiries, reservations, and takeout orders Support opening and closing procedures for the host stand and entrance area Assist management in training, guiding, and setting expectations for the host team What You’ll Bring
2 or more years of experience in a guest-facing role within a high-volume restaurant Proficiency with the OpenTable reservation system Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage reservations, greet guests, and coordinate table flow simultaneously A warm, welcoming presence with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
