Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician performs duties to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment, building facilities, and grounds. This includes, but is not limited to, HVAC, boilers, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration systems, blenders, processing, and packaging equipment. Job Duties:

Ensure operation of plant machinery utilizing both electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot equipment. Complete

preventive/predictive

maintenance procedures. Perform duties in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Control downtime by completing needed repairs and part replacements in a timely fashion. Fabricate repair parts by machining items to specifications as necessary. Provide mechanical maintenance information by informing production workers of routine techniques, answering questions, and responding to requests. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and updating certified skill levels. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed. Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent. Able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff. Minimum three to five years of related maintenance experience. Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, VFDs, and PLCs. Proficient electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Valid state driver’s license. Able to work overtime and weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and USDA regulations preferred. Bilingual preferred. Physical Requirements:

Able to lift in excess of 40 pounds daily. Able to tolerate extreme temperatures. Able to operate a variety of hand and power tools on a frequent, daily basis. Able to occasionally climb, crouch, kneel, and crawl to service a variety of equipment.
