Job Overview (What You’ll Do)

This role focuses on creating meaningful store experiences and guiding guests through their adventures with product knowledge and personal connections. You will chat about backpacks, jackets, adventure, and impact while sharing Cotopaxi’s Do Good mission.

You will contribute to a high-impact, vibrant store experience in Boston and help inspire customers to become fans of the brand. If you’re excited by our mission and people, consider applying.

Job Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

  • Championing Authentic Guest Experiences: meet each guest where they are, guiding them with care, curiosity, and intention.
  • Connect with every guest: greet, share your experience, and offer your help and expertise.
  • Educate guests on products, experiences, local highlights, and our mission and impact.
  • Be an ambassador living Cotopaxi’s values of People, Innovation, and Adventure.

Operations and Impact

  • Restock and destock products to keep the store ready for guests.
  • Open the store on time and close it at the end of the day.
  • Manage the point of sale system to ensure customers leave supported and satisfied.
  • Contribute to a store culture that is uplifting, collaborative, and fun.

Experiences to Highlight (What You’ll Bring)

  • 18 years or older.
  • Experience in retail or similar high-paced environments is a plus.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic; eager to share Cotopaxi story and build connections.
  • Humanitarian at heart; supportive of the Do Good mission.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Strong accountability and self-guidance.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours to support the team – at least 2 weekdays and 1 weekend.
  • Ability to work through the holiday season (including the Friday after Thanksgiving).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet; this is an active role.
