Overview

Our client, a premium denim brand based in Downtown Los Angeles, is seeking a part-time HR Generalist to provide coverage during a leave of absence. This role will run from mid-October through March 1 and requires an onsite presence three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring a supportive and professional workplace environment.
• Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide HR support across day-to-day functions including compliance, onboarding/offboarding, and documentation.
• Partner with managers and employees to address HR needs in a proactive and solutions-oriented manner.
• Assist with special projects and other HR-related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR Generalist or related HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll practices and employment laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Availability to work onsite three days per week in Downtown LA.
