POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Development Director will play a critical role in driving the growth and sustainability of our organization by balancing revenue generation with operational oversight of Youth Development programs. This position requires a dynamic individual who can spearhead site development efforts, build strategic relationships, and ensure operational success for new and existing locations. This position demands extensive knowledge of childcare licensing rules and regulations, along with the ability to effectively implement a culture of compliance and operational excellence. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Revenue Generation and Site Profitability Seek out and establish new business opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to ensure that new and existing childcare programs achieve profitability and meet enrollment targets. Operational Oversight Oversee new sites to ensure smooth operations and alignment with organizational standards. Support the recruitment and onboarding process to maintain operational excellence. Sales and Relationship Building Represent the organization to external stakeholders with a deep understanding of program offerings to ensure accurate communication. Foster relationships with local school districts and other community partners to drive growth and enrollment. Collaboration and Team Support Work closely with branch executives and district leaders to align business development efforts with organizational goals. Provide strategic leadership on the expansion and enhancement of childcare programs across the association. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master’s preferred. Experience Proven experience in business development, sales, or operations management, preferably within the education or childcare sector. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic goals with operational responsibilities. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving measurable results. Knowledge of childcare or educational landscape is essential. Minimum 5 years in administrative supervisory roles. Certification(s) & Requirements: CPR and First Aid certification and Safety training required within 30 days of hire. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Skills and Knowledge: Strategic thinking and revenue generation expertise. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Collaborative mindset with a results-driven approach.
