In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown. To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of: Mobile Maintenance Senior Planner The Mobile Maintenance Senior Planner is responsible for leading and coordinating the planning and scheduling of mobile equipment maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability. This role is key to improving maintenance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in mobile equipment maintenance planning within mining, construction, or heavy industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize short-term and long-term maintenance plans for mobile equipment (e.g., haul trucks,loaders, graders, dozers, and support vehicles). Coordinate with maintenance supervisors, operations, and procurement to schedule planned maintenance activities and reduce unplanned downtime. Prioritize and schedule work orders in alignment with production targets, equipment availability, and resource constraints. Lead the planning of major maintenance events such as component replacements, overhauls, and shutdowns. Create job packages including detailed work instructions, required tools, safety procedures, and parts lists. Monitor work progress and adjust schedules as needed to minimize disruptions to operations. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders, equipment history, and generate maintenance KPIs. Analyze maintenance trends and equipment performance data to drive continuous improvement in planning and reliability. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies. Mentor and support junior planners and contribute to skill development within the planning team. Qualifications/Skills and Experience Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field preferred. Or Technical certification (e.g., Motor Vehicle Engine Repairs) and at least 5 years experience in a similar role. Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in mobile maintenance, with at least 3 years in a maintenance planning or senior planning role. Additional Strong knowledge of mobile equipment used in mining, construction, or heavy industry. Proficiency in CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong understanding of maintenance processes, reliability practices, and planning methodologies. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, etc.). Working Conditions Position based at the OKO Project site. Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days Off Transport, accommodations, and meals provided on site. Compensation Package 1-year contract for the construction period, with the possibility of a permanent position once the mine is in operation.
