We are looking for a Business Development Director who will continue building OEM relationships, identify Department of Defense and Federal manufacturing & product efforts, develop and manage a pipeline of bid opportunities, and increase profitability for M&P.
Responsibilities
Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities focused on manufacturing and reverse engineering, including Prime and Subcontracting opportunities.
Establish and foster relationships with government, vendors, OEMs, and industry partners nationwide to generate new opportunities and revenue.
Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities aligning M&P capabilities with customer needs.
Support day-to-day Business Development operations, including technical assessments, proposal development, and pricing, collaborating with technical experts and teams.
Manage the Business Development budget for each proposal and oversee the full lifecycle of pursuits from inception to award.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 5+ years of business development experience in a government setting.
Understanding of manufacturing and product procurement life cycles.
Ability to lead large BD/capture efforts on DOD and government opportunities.
Experience in proposal writing and effective communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Military or government experience.
Desired Skills
Experience with Shipley method, developing win strategies, and conducting assessments.
Knowledge of Alaska Native Corporations and sole-source contracting.
Negotiation skills for teaming agreements.
Business intelligence and cost proposal support skills.
Experience with CostPoint CRM or similar tools.
Additional Requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; US citizenship required.
Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks as needed.
