All About Food & Beverage: The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They lead operations, processes and efficiency for food and food services, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing for all Food and Beverage areas of the store.

Role

The Role Of a Starbucks Barista provides a chance to work in a dynamic environment that supports guest experience and beverage quality standards. The position includes Starbucks-specific responsibilities in addition to Target food safety and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, connecting with guests to deliver quality handcrafted beverages and food during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest\'s needs over tasks.
• Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food and Beverage Standards, Starbucks brand standards, and food safety standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes, including deliveries, replenishment, stocking, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and backstock.
• Maintain awareness of promotional activities within Starbucks.
• Follow Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent guest experience while driving efficiency and maintaining food safety.
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Maintain an inviting dining area for guests all day, every day, and engage with guests to meet their expectations according to Starbucks standards.
• Produce items to specifications, follow production cards and department routines; monitor and record temperature-sensitive items; complete and record cleaning tasks.
• Follow packaging and labeling guidelines for food products and comply with all food safety requirements.
• Identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to best practices; ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders; follow perishable inventory procedures.
• Execute sampling, greet guests, observe and respond to guest needs, and demonstrate knowledge of tools, products and services available in the total store to solve issues.
• Complete all required Starbucks trainings related to quality control and maintain a culture of safety, ethics and compliance.
• Work safely, identify hazards, and comply with safety policies.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) with compliance to applicable laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other equipment as directed.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; resolve guest questions quickly; attention to detail; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Requirements

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders and move merchandise safely (up to 44 pounds).
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays) with reliable attendance.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 34°F to -10°F and in environments with allergens.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
