The Food & Beverage team ensures product is fresh, in stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor, and leads food services, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing for all Food and Beverage areas of the store.

Role: Starbucks Barista at Target. This role provides the Starbucks guest experience, crafts handcrafted beverages and food, and supports store operations to deliver a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, connecting with guests to provide quality handcrafted beverages and food during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs.
• Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food and Beverage Standards, Starbucks brand standards, and food safety standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes, including deliveries, replenishment, stocking, zoning, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, rotation, cleaning, labeling, and backstock.
• Maintain awareness of promotional activities within Starbucks and Target.
• Follow Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent Starbucks experience while driving efficiency and maintaining food safety.
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to fulfill digital guest orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain an inviting dining area for guests all day, every day.
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed expectations per Starbucks standards.
• Produce items to specifications on production cards and follow department routines.
• Monitor and record temperature-sensitive items per best practices.
• Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space per best practices.
• Follow packaging and labeling guidelines for food products; comply with food safety requirements.
• Identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to best practice.
• Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders per best practices and follow perishable inventory procedures.
• Execute sampling and maintain a welcoming guest experience through genuine interaction.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Thank guests and communicate appreciation for choosing Target.
• Complete required Starbucks trainings related to quality control and demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work safely, identifying hazards and complying with safety policies and best practices.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• All other duties as needed based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate scanners and other technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; resolve guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 44 pounds, climb ladders, and work in temperatures from 34°F to -10°F as needed.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance required.
• Ability to work in environments with common allergens and varying temperatures and humidity.
