Overview Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr. Our client is an established, family-owned contractor that has been in business for over 50 years. Based out of Quincy, they have a great reputation and pride themselves on repeat business, transparent communication and a balanced field/project management staff. Due to business growth, they seek an experienced Estimator that will report directly to their Ownership group. Generating close to $60M in yearly revenue, they have a diverse portfolio including commercial, healthcare and retail projects. Responsibilities Analyze project documents: review blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents to understand project scope and requirements. Perform quantity takeoffs: calculate and list the exact quantities of materials and resources needed for a project. Determine costs for materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses to develop detailed budgets and proposals. Collaborate with team: work closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate bids and provide cost information. Manage bids: oversee the bidding process for subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. Utilize specialized software (e.g., BlueBeam or Procore) to create takeoffs, manage data, and generate estimates. Stay updated: keep current with new construction methods, material costs, safety codes, and industry trends to ensure accuracy. Develop reports: produce written proposals, cost estimates, and budget updates for stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field (preferred). 5+ years of commercial general contracting experience (preferred). 3+ years as a Project Manager, running commercial projects (required). Familiarity with construction management software; Procore experience is a plus. Thorough knowledge of submittals, RFIs, and project close-out procedures. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task. Salary between $120,000 - $180,000, dependent on experience. BCBS health insurance for employees and dependents (eligible 30 days after employment). Yearly bonus, based on employee performance (approximately $10,000). Company cell phone and laptop provided. 15 days of paid time off plus paid holidays; 20 days after 2 years.
