Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to lead key accounting functions and support strategic financial planning. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of managing complex financial operations, ensuring compliance, and mentoring team members. This position must possess a strong understanding of GAAP, accrual-based financial statements, internal controls, and be comfortable with intercompany transactions. This position will assist the Controller in formulating budgets, forecasts, and management reporting and serve as a backup when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage general accounting functions and transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights to management.
• Assist in the development of internal controls and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen compliance. Document policies and procedures if no prior document exists and update as needed.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency. Serve as backup to other Accountants.
