About the Opportunity
Gecko Hospitality is proud to represent an upscale, high-volume restaurant in Miami seeking a talented Chef de Cuisine to lead its culinary team. This role is ideal for a passionate, disciplined leader who can balance creativity with flawless execution in one of the country’s most competitive dining markets.
What You’ll Do
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring consistency and excellence across menus and service. Drive menu innovation, with a focus on seasonality, local sourcing, and refined presentation. Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse culinary team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and growth. Manage food cost, labor, and operational budgets, aligning profitability with quality. Partner with ownership and FOH leadership to deliver a seamless, elevated guest experience. Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
What We’re Looking For
Proven track record as a Chef de Cuisine, Executive Chef, or strong Executive Sous Chef ready to step up, ideally in upscale or fine dining. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams. Business-minded with experience balancing innovation and profitability. Solid knowledge of modern culinary techniques, menu engineering, and Miami’s evolving dining landscape. Hands-on, organized, and steady under pressure.
