Job Description
Location: Van Wert, OH (with responsibilities in Fort Wayne, IN)
Pay Rate: $15.00 – $19.00/hour
About the Role:
Jack Laurie Group is seeking a Senior Cleaning Technician to take on a leadership role in our janitorial operations. This position is a working supervisor role — you will actively clean while also overseeing staff, managing schedules, and ensuring quality standards are met. You’ll play a key role in supporting both our employees and our clients.
Schedule:
Core hours: 5:00pm – 1:00am
Flexibility required based on client demands
Responsibilities:
Perform cleaning duties in assigned facilities
Supervise and support cleaning technicians across multiple sites
Manage schedules and coordinate coverage for call-offs or absences
Conduct audits to ensure quality standards are met
Train and mentor new employees
Communicate regularly with internal operations teams and clients
Maintain and manage cleaning systems and reporting tools
Oversee inventory and supply management
Step in to handle additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
Clean background check
Reliable transportation to travel between Van Wert and Fort Wayne as required
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and with a team
Previous supervisory or janitorial experience preferred
Compensation:
$15.00 – $19.00 per hour, based on experience
