Job Description
Join CSCI Consulting and make a real impact on one of our nation's most critical defense missions. We're looking for a FIAR Analyst (Financial Improvement & Audit Readiness) to support a DoD client. In this role, you'll help strengthen financial accountability by improving processes, supporting audits, and ensuring financial information is reliable and transparent. Responsibilities
Review and document financial processes to identify gaps or risks
Develop improvement plans and corrective actions to fix problems
Support financial audits by preparing documentation, answering auditor questions, and coordinating site visits
Test financial controls and processes to ensure they work properly
Create easy-to-understand process maps, reports, and training materials
Provide training and guidance to client staff on best practices in financial management
Track progress and report results on audit readiness goals
Work with client leaders and external auditors to keep projects on schedule and on track
Minimum Requirements
Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
At least 7 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing
Strong understanding of accounting principles and federal financial standards
Experience using government financial systems such as GFEBS, DTS, or similar tools
Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional presence
Preferred Skills
Experience working with the Department of Defense or federal agencies
Familiarity with Special Operations or joint military environments
Prior experience supporting audits or audit readiness efforts
Comfortable working with large data sets and financial reports
Strong relationship-building skills with clients and team members
Desire to learn and grow in new tools, technologies, and methods
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
Department of Defense Financial Management experience is a plus!
