HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Employees in this position will perform the tasks needed to create covers, end sheets, and page art according to the customer specifications.
This position is an in-plant position.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Coordinate with customers, customer service, and other plant employees to produce the cover, end sheet, and page art. Execute art functions from beginning to end; including sketch design, comprehensive proofs, final proofs, and press confirmation. All work must be thoroughly and correctly prepared within production parameters. Have professional behavior when meeting with customers and sales partners. Complete proofing responsibilities as needed. Work in other plant areas as needed, including but not limited to prepress and handwork. Complete all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leads, supervisors, and managers QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Accurately follow through on verbal and written communication and instruction. Work efficiently and maintain the set productivity rate on a day-to-day basis. Stay within the parameters of the set error rate which will be reviewed weekly. Maintain a positive, safe, and organized working environment through professional and friendly behavior with all co-workers, leads, supervisors and managers. Must be able to work all hours as needed, including overtime and weekends. Education/Experience
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related field preferred but not required. Knowledge of color theory, design, and printing methods is required. Basic understanding of offset lithography and silk-screen printing. Sketching and painting skills are necessary. Computer skills: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). Strong working knowledge of the Windows and Macintosh operating systems. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. The ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC's, laptop, telephone will be required.
