As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team supporting critical facilities, public venues requiring an enhanced presence, and personal protective services.

Responsibilities
- Report safety and security concerns observed at facilities to Security Management
- Conduct patrols of the facility as outlined in Post Orders
- Coordinate an initial response to security incidents
- Observe and report fire and safety issues
- Report building maintenance problems or issues
- Perform daily locking and unlocking functions
- Be able to walk at least two miles per shift
- Maintain Pass-On log
- Direct delivery personnel
- Monitor Security CCTV and respond to incidents per Post Orders
- Provide professional customer service and answer security-related questions
- Document each shift with necessary paperwork and electronic logs
- Observe, deter, and report unlawful acts
- Request law enforcement response as needed
- Respond to security issues on the grounds of facilities
- Control and secure incident scenes until law enforcement arrival
- Control access to areas and facilities using access control lists
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Guard Card or willingness to obtain one
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active driver's license
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle report (MVR) check
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- No criminal history that renders the security officer unsuitable for the position, considering the nature and gravity of the offense, time elapsed, and job duties. Contractors conduct annual criminal background checks and review motor vehicle records every six months
- For individuals with military service: discharge must not render the individual unsuitable for the position
