ALL ABOUT FOOD & BEVERAGE: The Food & Beverage team ensures products are fresh, in stock, available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They lead operations, replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing for all Food & Beverage areas of the store.

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and a guest-first culture in Starbucks
• Ability to provide a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted Starbucks products
• Experience with food quality and freshness management
• Knowledge of state and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, connecting with guests to deliver quality handcrafted beverages and food during all hours of operation, prioritizing the guest’s needs over tasks
• Uphold and maintain the execution of Food & Beverage Standards, Starbucks brand standards and food safety standards
• Execute food and beverage processes, including deliveries, replenishment, stocking, zoning, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and backstock
• Maintain awareness of promotional activities and follow routines to deliver a consistent Starbucks experience while driving efficiency and maintaining food safety
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
• Maintain an inviting dining area for guests all day, every day
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations according to Starbucks standards
• Produce items to specifications on production cards and follow department routines
• Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items as outlined in best practices
• Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices
• Follow packaging and labeling guidelines for food products; follow food safety requirements
• Identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to best practice
• Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices
• Follow perishable inventory procedures for accurate inventory records
• Execute sampling best practices
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting all guests; engage with guests and tailor approach based on cues
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available to solve guest issues and improve their experience
• Complete all required Starbucks trainings related to quality control
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely at all times
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up while complying with laws
• All other duties based on business needs

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred but not required
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and teammates
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate scanners and technology as directed
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly and accurately
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks

Basic Requirements

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders; lift up to 44 pounds; move merchandise safely
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance
• Work in varying temperatures and environments; allergens may be present
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
