This role is for a Senior Startup Account Manager focused on driving growth with well-funded, high-potential startups. Startups represent a critically important subset of AWS customers with unique needs, engagement strategies, and sales motions. The Senior Startup Account Manager will work with startups building innovative solutions and collaborate with external contacts and internal teams to meet and exceed sales quota, drive revenue, and ensure AWS is the primary cloud provider for these startups.

The ideal candidate possesses strong sales acumen, knowledge of the startup ecosystem, and familiarity with AI/ML. You will align with business development, marketing, solution architecture, and partner teams to execute coordinated go-to-market strategies and sales plays and work with business development teams to drive top-of-funnel customer acquisition and accelerate seller cycles in the field.

Key responsibilities

Ensure customer success with early and mid-stage startups Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and GTM strategies Meet or exceed quarterly revenue and goal targets Develop and execute a comprehensive account/territory plan Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services Engage founders, CxOs, board members, and VC influencers to accelerate adoption Collaborate with partners to extend reach and drive adoption Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts Expected moderate travel

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 10+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives 10+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience building profitable partner ecosystems Experience developing detailed go-to-market plans
